City Council Moves on Affordable Housing

Led by the Democratic majority, the Flagstaff City Council moved forward with bi-partisan support to address the lack of affordable housing in Flagstaff.  Council designated three pieces of city-owned property totaling five acres for what could become 65 units of subsidized rental housing. Flagstaff has authorized the hiring of an affordable hiring manager and is making the most significant strides in the development of affordable housing in more than a decade, according to City Manager Josh Copley.
