#BeAPC Campaign Launched! Join Us!

The Coconino County Democratic Party has launched its #BeAPC Campaign! This is a drive to expand and strengthen the party by making it more inclusive. So far, three major events are planned, but we’ve reached out to chapter houses and at flea markets on the Navajo Reservation already. Did you know that Navajo Democrats make up approximately 1/3 of the County’s registered Democrats? We want them to have a voice in governing the party! We’re also making calls to registered Democrats in understaffed precincts in other parts of the County and making face-to-face contacts in Flagstaff to recruit.

We want YOU to have a voice and if you want to do it for the 2020 Election Cycle, your deadline to get involved is May 30. (We’ll be happy to have people join after that, but you won’t have the same power as if you get involved NOW!).

The most constructive way you can change politics is to become a Precinct Committeeperson (PC) in the Democratic Party. PCs are the grassroots of the party. They represent the party to the public and PCs elect the party’s leaders. Read more about what it means to be a PC and what a PC does.

Here are the important events scheduled so far:

April 14: At the Monthly PC Meeting, current PC’s and guests will receive nominating papers and learn about the process of becoming an Elected Precinct Committee Person.

May 3: Tuba City Democratic Party Rally: Elected Officials and Candidates will be present to encourage activism within the Party. Food and nominating petitions will be available.

May 9: Informational Meeting at our Flagstaff Headquarters. Come and meet our Area Leaders and join the ranks.

May 30 is the last day for PCs to file nominating petitions with the County Elections Office. If none of the scheduled events works for you, call or email us to schedule a meeting to learn about how you can #BeAPC!
