Deadline for Democracy Demonstration

An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until July 6, 2021
Our Senators are on July recess (June 28th – July 10th), and while they’re back in Arizona we need to let them know that we demand a democracy that works for all people.
The Republican filibuster of the For the People Act (as well as the January 6th commission), have made it clear that the Senate will not be able to pass important legislation without the end of the Jim Crow Filibuster. Join us on Tuesday, June 29th, and July 6th from 5 pm – 7 pm on the South Lawn of Flagstaff City Hall.
Bring signs about the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, the Equality Act, and any federal legislation that is important to you. Until we End the Filibuster all meaningful legislation will be held up in the Senate. The Deadline for Democracy is on.
