DORR Breakfast with Candidates

AND SEDONA CITY MANAGER
TO SPEAK AT DORR BREAKFAST
Dr. Robert Brill, Candidate for Congress to represent District 4 (Verde Valley, Prescott,) Mark Robert Gordon, running for Arizona Secretary of State, and Felicia French, Candidate for the Arizona Legislature, District 6, will be featured speakers at the Democrats of the Red Rocks monthly breakfast on Thursday May 17. Sedona City Manager Justin Clifton will also be on the program. The breakfast will be held at Olde Sedona Family Restaurant, 1405 W SR 89A, starting at 8AM.
Dr. Robert Brill, M.D., is the first Democratic candidate to file with the Arizona Secretary of State for the office of U.S. Representative for Congressional District 4. Brill filed 2,000 signatures from throughout CD4 seeking the Democratic nomination for the August 28, 2018 Primary Election. Dr. Brill has been a Veterans Administration health care executive and the owner small businesses. He lives in Prescott.
Mark Robert Gordon, an attorney specializing in election and voting rights law, is running for Arizona Secretary of State, the state’s No. 2 post. An Arizona native who attended school in Phoenix, he went on to earn degrees from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, Columbia Law School, and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and has had a career in entertainment as an actor, writer, director, and producer.
Retired Army Colonel Felicia French is an Afghan War Veteran and Army medical evacuation helicopter pilot with 32 years of service. She is a Registered Nurse, an educator, and a hospice case manager. Col. French is running for the Arizona State Legislature in district 6, which includes Sedona, the Verde Valley, Village of Oak Creek, Flagstaff, Holbrook, Payson, Pine, Snowflake, Tusayan, Williams, and more.
Sedona City Manager, Justin Clifton, is the city’s chief administrative officer and is responsible for overseeing the daily administration of the city. He has held the position for three years and was formerly the City Manager of Delta, Colorado. The mayor and city council appoint the city manager, who reports directly to those elected officials. Mr. Clifton will speak on a variety of current issues in the City of Sedona, including the upcoming city election.
The speakers will appear as part of DORR’s critical issues breakfast series, held on the third Thursday of the month. The organization presents a different program each month. All breakfasts are open to the public. There is a $12 fee to cover the cost of breakfast.
Other upcoming DORR programs include a June 3 picnic at the Big Park Community School Campus, 25 Saddlehorn Rd., in the Village of Oak Creek. All Democratic Candidates running for office, including Governor, U.S. Senate, Congress, State Legislature, and other statewide and local offices, have been invited to attend. All are welcome.
DORR is an all-volunteer Democratic Club for Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek, the Verde Valley, and surrounding communities, that welcomes all independent-minded community members. The DORR office is located at 1385 Route 89A (next to Olde Sedona) and is open weekdays from 10 AM – 12 PM and 2 PM – 4 PM.
