Request to Speak Training
January 25 @ 5:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Monday and Thursday, repeating until January 29, 2021

Our Legislative Committee will continue our efforts to monitor and influence the state Legislature through the RTS (Request to Speak) system. If you are not familiar with the RTS system or just need a refresher, we recommend that you attend one of the “RTS 101” Zoom meetings offered by Civic Engagement Beyond Voting on January 7, 14, 21, or 28. You can register for any of those dates here: Register for RTS 101.
In order to use RTS, you need to be registered with the system. People in Phoenix will go to a kiosk at the Capitol to register for you. Just sign up for that free service. (If you have already registered but can’t remember your password, use that link to recover your password.)
You may also be interested in CEBV’s Sunday afternoon Open House/Happy Hour, which starts on Sunday, Jan 17. At the 4:00 hour, Melinda Iyer will give a brief update on the upcoming week in the Legislature. At the 5:00 hour, Deborah Howard will give a brief update on redistricting. Legislators may drop in at any time! We’ll ask and answer questions, give help with RTS navigation, discuss our RTS points of view, and socialize while we do our RTS actions for the week.
