“What Happened and Where Are We Now? A Recap of the Arizona State Legislature’s 2021 Session” AT DORR BREAKFAST at HOME
July 15 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Democrats of the Red Rocks (DORR) Breakfast at Home will host “What Happened and Where Are We Now? A Recap of the Arizona State Legislature’s 2021 Session,” with Arizona House Minority Leader Reginald Bolding and Melinda Iyer, from Civic Engagement Beyond Voting (CEBV), on Thursday, July 15th at 10:00 am on zoom. The zoom link is available on the DORR website https://democratsoftheredrocks.org/index.html.
Reginald Bolding was elected in 2020 to serve a fourth term in the Arizona House of Representatives, and was chosen by his peers to serve as the Democratic Leader. Bolding has established himself as one of the most respected leaders in the Chamber, working on legislation focused on education, economic development, criminal justice, voter justice, veterans and civil rights. Representative Bolding is now a candidate for Arizona Secretary of State. Melinda Merkel Iyer, co-founder of Civic Engagement Beyond Voting (CEBV) and Save our Schools AZ, is the creator of the AZ Legislature Weekly Update, a condensed overview of the legislative session’s notable bills. The “Iyer Report,” published weekly and updated/revised as needed, describes each bill in layman’s terms and details its status. Iyer also co-hosts a CEBV Happy Hour Sunday nights during the legislative session, featuring a different legislator each week.
