“I have to vote on judges, too?”

For the judges on your ballot, you are voting as to whether or not to retain them. As a practical matter, since there has been no concerted campaign to oust any single judge, all the judges are likely to be retained. Nonetheless, a “no” vote expresses your opinion that the judge shouldn’t be on the bench.

First of all, vote “yes” for Cathleen Brown Nichols — the one local judge on our Coconino County ballot. She’s honest, fair, and hardworking.

Second, FYI, all three Supreme Court Judges on the ballot voted to remove Invest in Ed from the 2018 ballot.

Civic Engagement Beyond Voting has put together a set of recommendations. It’s not perfect, in our view, but it is helpful.
