Keep Track of Candidate Filings Here!

The deadline for filing candidate nominating petitions is tomorrow, May 30, at 5 p.m.  This is for everyone from U.S. Senator to precinct committeeman, with the exception of Special District candidates (like fire and school boards).

For federal, statewide, and state legislative races, you can watch the nominating petitions roll in — and check their financial disclosures — here.

For more local races, we’ll post here as we have the information:

Candidates who have filed for County Offices as of May 29 are listed here.

The latest on Flagstaff City Council candidates is reported here.

Final Update: The list of Democratic Candidates who will be on the ballot for offices for which Coconino County voters vote is here.

Update 8:20 a.m. 5/31:

Brenda Barton filed, so Sylvia Allen will be in a bruising primary race for the Republican slot on General Election Ballot to compete against LD-6 Senate Candidate Wade Carlisle.

Update 3:00 p.m. 5/30:

We have three Democrats in the Governor’s race! Katie Hobbs has filed for Secretary of State. Bob Thorpe has filed for LD-6 House so the Republicans will have a primary in that race. No sign yet of Brenda Barton who has been LD-6 representative in the House but is termed out and is rumored to plan a primary challenge to Sylvia Allen.

Update 4:17 p.m. 5/29:

Walter Blackman (Republican) has filed for LD-6 House with 865 signatures. That’s more than Stuart McDaniel (R) —  but who’s counting, Stu? The two would run together for the 2 House seats unless Bob Thorpe files before 5 p.m. tomorrow — in which case there will be a primary fight on the Republican side.

Update 12:05 p.m. 5/29:

Some LD-6 House candidates have filed with Secretary of State:  Republican Stuart McDaniel filed with 812 signatures in support, Democrat Felicia French filed with 1342 signatures, Democrat Bobby Tyler filed with 1149 signatures.
