Although the map drawing has yet to begin, the redistricting process is well underway!
Over the summer, the Arizona Democratic Party held dozens of online information sessions about applying to serve on the Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC) (thank you to our locals who attended and applied!) The five-member commission has two Democrats, two Republicans, and an Independent.
We have two fabulous Democrats who have been appointed to the commission! If you haven’t read them yet, here are the links to their appointment announcements:
Now that we are past the IRC application and appointment periods, it’s time to get ready for the map drawing. The ADP is launching a new series of redistricting info sessions, geared toward party PCs and activists who are interested in engaging in this important process.

Join the Arizona Democratic Party for an hour-long informational session on the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission. We’ll cover a history of the commission, how our maps are drawn, and how Arizonans can engage in this exciting process.
