Last night, Americans all across the country heard from some extraordinary speakers:
- Kristin Urquiza, who lost her father in Maryvale to COVID-19, as she blamed Trump for his death because of Trump’s failures to control the pandemic;
- Michelle Obama, who urged Americans to “vote for Joe Biden in numbers that cannot be ignored.”
- Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, who highlighted how “voting by mail has been a secure, proven option for decades: in 2016, 33 million Americans voted by mail. Even Donald Trump has requested an absentee ballot twice this year.”
- And a cast of Americans telling the country why they’re voting for Joe Biden.
The evening was topped off by an extraordinary speech from Michele Obama. This morning, NY Times columnist Frank Bruni featured Obama’s message, “You can hate politics, but you can’t sit out this election.”
Tonight, Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez will take the stage with 16 other rising star Democrats for the first-ever joint keynote at the Convention. The speech will also include former Georgia gubernatorial candidate and voting rights advocate Stacey Abrams, Rep. Conor Lamb, and Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried. Viewers can stream the event live on the DNCC website.
