Re: Time to Take a Leadership Role in Middle East Peace. Proposed script/email:
“I am a solid Democrat living in XXXX, Arizona. I am very concerned about the seemingly stalled Middle East peace process and continuing violence. I strongly urge you to immediately use our formidable leverage to insist on not only a de-escalation of the current hostilities, but also on long term solutions based on security for both peoples, their homes and communities, and on respect for human rights and international law.”
For our Senators: voting right, voting rights, voting rights (Literally all may be lost if we don’t pass this legislation! We need to keep on them.)
Sample voice mail or email Senator Sinema: “My name is XXXX and I live in XXXXX, Arizona. Given the raft of voter suppression bills passed in Republican legislatures around the country it’s imperative we pass federal voters’ rights legislation. I know you support S1 and S4 but it’s become painfully clear that your desire to maintain the filibuster dooms the legislation you propose. Where are the 10 Republican votes that you have obtained on S1 and S4? I implore you to support modification of the filibuster instead of being the Senator that fails to deliver on her promises. You claim to be the Senator who gets things done. Let’s get these bills passed.”
Sen. Sinema: Call (202) 224-4521 (DC) or (602) 598-7327. Email via her website at “http://www.sinema.senate.gov” Tag the Senator at @senatorsinema,
For Senator Kelley: “My name is XXXX and I live in XXXXX, Arizona. All of the incredibly important work that you are promoting voting rights bills S1 and S4 will come to nothing, literally nothing, without modification of the filibuster. In an age when Republicans in the AZ legislature, as well as in several other states, are enacting voter suppression bills right and left, we need you to stand up and support modification of the filibuster to preserve our democracy.”
Sen. Mark Kelley: Call (202) 224-2235 (DC), Email via his website at http://www.kelly.senate.gov Tag the Senator at @senmarkkelly
For Representative O’Halleran: Bi-Partisan Commission on January 6. Request Rep. O’Halleran support H.R. 3233, which will create a bi-partisan commission to investigate the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol. The bill will create a ten-member panel, composed equally of Democrats and Republicans similar to the 9-11 commission. It will study the “facts and causes” and influences behind the attack and come up with recommendations for Capitol security
Rep. O’Halleran: Call (202) 225-3361 or send an email via his website at http://www.ohalleran.house.gov
