  1. Firmly and repeatedly tell Eli Crane how dissatisfied you are with his rabid support of the “Big Ugly Bill” recently passed by Congress with his help!! In CD 2 over 138,000 people live under the poverty line, over 171,000 depend on Medicaid, another 101,000 have no health insurance at all.  It is estimated that over 72,000 in CD 2 will lose their existing health insurance as a direct result of Eli Crane’s “Big Ugly Bill”.  So what is Eli Crane going to do about this???  It seems he is okay with NOT taking care of his constituents because the lure of power, influence and money is too great for him.  Other aspects of Eli Crane’s Big Ugly include the defunding of Planned Parenthood – gutting access to STI screenings, cancer exams and prenatal care.  It also includes striping food aid from 270,000 veterans, foster youth, and unhoused people nation wide.  Medicaid recipients (who don’t lose access altogher) face a $35 co-pay per doctor visit – likely a barrier many families can’t overcome.  It adds a $51 Billion tax credit to incentivize private school vouchers draining public school resources drastically.  There is much more very bad news in Eli Crane’s Big Ugly and we need to remind him how unhappy we are with his support for all these terrible impacts in the weeks ahead.  Pick the issue important to you and repeatedly remind Eli Crane of how really awful his support for these things is!!
