Here’s the Arizona Daily Sun’s coverage of our highly successfully 2018 Kickoff Event. And, here are the photos we took.
Flagstaff residents got a chance Saturday to check out and speak to a number of Democratic Party candidates and organizations at the Coconino County Democratic Party’s Community Action Kickoff at Coconino High School.
The event had a high turnout, with the lunchroom/commons area of Coconino High full of people wandering from table to table to speak to candidates, candidate representatives and various organizations during the two and a half hour long event.
At least 28 candidates or their representatives attended the party, including candidates for Congress, state offices such as governor, secretary of state, the Arizona Corporation Commission and superintendent of education. There were also several candidates for Flagstaff City Council at the meeting. Around 18 organizations also attended the event, including Together We Will Northern Arizona, Save Our Schools Arizona, Sierra Club, Mom’s Demand Action and Flagstaff Needs a Raise.
Representatives from several candidates and organizations were given two minutes each to address the crowd. Congressman Tom O’Halleran and former Representative Ann Kirkpatrick joined the legislative candidates for a group photo.
