- Insist our Members of Congress refuse to go to war with IRAN!! Senator Lindsay Graham has introduced a joint resolution that would ignite a war between the United States and Iran and escalate the ongoing crisis in the Middle East! The Iraqi War was the biggest American blunder of the 21st century and we cannot afford to put ourselves in a position to enter a second major conflict in the Middle East! Congressman Ro Khanna (California district 17) is leading the charge to foil Senator Graham’s terrible effort. Reach out to our Congressional leaders and demand they resist any such movement to war!! - Raise your voice to anyone who might listen to get their help to get a CEASE FIRE in GAZA!! This morning it was reported that Israel conducted an airstrike on a school-turned-shelter in Gaza. They killed 100 people and injured dozens more! Israel claims it was housing a Hamas command center and that was the target. There has been no confirmation that Hamas was there. This is one of the deadliest attacks by Israel so far in the 10-month war. According to the United Nations, 477 out of 564 schools in Gaza have been directly hit or damaged since October 7. In Gaza, 40,000 have been killed and 90,000 injured and the overwhelming majority of the population have been displaced. We MUST get a CEASE FIRE IN GAZA!!
- Tell our Senators to stop the fossil fuel industry’s dirty deal!! The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee recently voted to move forward a dirty energy bill championed by Senators John Barrasso and Joe Manchin. The proposed dirty deal would fast-track gas exports and e a massive giveaway to the oil and gas industry. The Energy Permitting Reform Act of 2024 would mirror many of the alarming goals outlined in the Project 2025 plan and gut bedrock environmental protections. Demand our Senators do all they can to stop this legislation!
- Reach out to President Biden to support the proposed Great Bend of the Gila National Monument! This area in south-central Arizona was recently described in Arizona Highways as “part museum, part historical document, part newspaper, part church, a place that enshrines ancient aspirations.” The area is currently threatened by the West Valley’s concrete sprawl and vandalism. Please ask President Biden to project the Great Bend of the Gila and make it a National Monument!
