Reach out to President Biden to thank him for the tremendous economy he has created! The Wall Street Journal is calling the American economy “the envy of the world”. The stock market is in record territory, we have the best job market since the 1960’s, we have the lowest uninsured health coverage rate, there is strong wage and real wage growth, annual deficits are trillions less than they were under Trump, and three big Biden bills are driving hundreds of billions in new investment, accelerating our energy transition, creating jobs and opportunities for American workers for decades to come! Let President Biden know how you feel!!

Insist our elected officials OPPOSE the so-called “America’s Wildlife Habitat Conservation Act”!! Last December, the U.S. celebrated 50 years of the Endangered Species Act – a half century of a critical law that has help preserve countless species, both in the ocean and on land. The ironically named “Amerca’s Wildlife Habitat Conservation Act” would tighten the definition of “critical habitat”, and also aims to revoke funding from critical conservation programs. This would include repealing $700 million in funding allocated to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support coastal resilience and restoration. For 50 years, far too many imperiled species, from sea turtles to whales and more, have depended on the Endangered Species Act for their ultimate survival. Demand our representatives preserve these critical species and their habitats – any rollbacks to the Endangered Species Act would quite literally be deadly!

Let President Biden know that you fully approve of his administration’s efforts to close the gun show loophole! The Biden Administration has proposed a groundbreaking rule that would require anyone who sells funs for profit must have a license and that buyers be subject to a background check. This initiative would regulate tens of thousands of gun sales by requiring licensees for sellers and enforcing universal background checks – affecting over 20,000 unlicensed dealers. The gun show loophole has for years allowed unlicensed gun dealers to sell firearms without background checks at gun shows, on the internet and out of their homes. Twenty-five years ago the Columbine High School mass shooting was carried out by weapons purchased through the gun-show loophole. In 2019 the Midland-Odessa shooting that killed 7 people was done by a shooter who was blocked from getting a firearm at a gun store because of a background check but got his weapons on line from an unlicensed dealer and no background check. Tell President Biden you fully support his effort to close the gun show loophole!!
