Why do many working people vote for candidates who oppose raising wages, universal health care, and raising taxes for the rich? Heather McGhee, in her book The Sum of Us, makes the case that racism plays a major role in why many people vote against their own interests.
Join us for a 5-week book study of The Sum of Us. We will be organizing groups of 6-8 people to discuss the book with a rotating group of study participants leading each week. Questions designed by Heather McGhee will be provided. Book study will begin at the end of May. Actual day and time to be determined by group participants.
For questions and more information, contact Helen Hudgens Ferrell () or Marilyn Weissman () who are organizing the study groups.
