Flagstaff City Council agreed to move forward with a resolution opposing the Dobbs decision and the State Legislatures efforts to ban abortion. The public and the 6 supporting Democratic City Council members were eloquent in their testimony. Only Independent and Wendy Rogers ally Lori Matthews opposed a resolution saying it should not be something the council takes a position on.
Next up will be a vote on the Resolution which will be written and presented to Council by the City Attorney. The date of that meeting to be determined and we will post it as it comes available.
