The FCC ignored overwhelming public demands and rescinded the protections we need to keep the Internet free and fair. Finally, we have the National Net Neutrality legislation we’ve been waiting for! Tell your Representative and Senators to cosponsor the Save the Internet Act. We need this common sense bipartisan legislation
The Save The Internet Act would restore the federal Net Neutrality protections approved during the Obama era, but that were repealed by the FCC under Chair Ajit Pai. We need to restore these basic standards that guaranteed that Internet service providers such as Verizon and AT&T must treat users and content providers fairly. If enacted, the FCC could not revoke or ignore this law.
House lead sponsor Rep. Doyle explained that the Save the Internet Act would defend consumers and small businesses from “abusive online practices, and restore the free and open internet.” Click here to read more about the act. Without a free Internet (Net Neutrality), our rights to access information and organize effectively are restricted. Without equal protection of our access to information, our ability to seek knowledge and our awareness of government and corporate activities are limited. Without this, our basic constitutional rights to “petition the government for a redress of grievances” are at risk.
