Friends Don’t Let Friends Fail to Vote

Five Facts To Help You in this Quest (And One to Motivate You)

We need every Democrat to do something if we are going to win this election — even if it is as small a thing as answering a question about voting put to you by a neighbor or co-worker. So here are a few things to drill into your mind so you’ll be ready when asked:

  1. Election Day is November 6. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
    • Find your polling place here.
    • New this year: Anyone registered in Coconino County can vote at a Vote Center. There are three of them: NAU Skydome, Flagstaff Mall, Tuba City High School. Here are maps
  2. You have to register to vote no later than Oct. 9.  (If you’ve moved since the last election, please check that your address is correct and change it with the Secretary of State or County Recorder if it is not. You can do that online.)
  3. Mail your vote-by-mail ballot no later than November 1 or drop it in at an Elections Office location or drop-box or your polling place before 7 p.m. on November 6. Drop boxes are available only in Flagstaff and they are located at 110 E. Cherry and at the Health Department on King Street (in the parking lots at both locations).
  4. Election Day (November 6) is the last day to vote. Early voting in person is available starting October 10 at locations in Flagstaff, Tuba City, Grand Canyon, Williams, Sedona, Page, and Fredonia. Get details about locations and hours for early voting here. And, unlike on Election Day, you need not present identification to vote early in person.
  5. Early-Vote Saturday: Early voting is generally available only during regular business hours Monday-Friday; however on October 27, early in-person voting will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at three sites:
    • Main Elections Office at 110 E. Cherry in downtown Flagstaff
    • Flagstaff Mall next to J.C. Penny’s
    • Tuba City Branch Office at 78 Main Street in Tuba City
